Sales Executive – APPS Transport Group

APPS Transport Group, a leader in transportation and logistics solutions across Canada, is seeking an experienced and driven Sales Executive to join our growing team. About the Role

The Sales Executive is responsible for securing new business, growing an assigned portfolio of accounts, and contributing to the overall revenue and strategic direction of APPS. This role combines new business development, customer relationship management, and collaboration across internal operational teams to ensure exceptional service delivery.

 


What You’ll Do

  • Develop NEW business opportunities through outreach, prospecting, and on-site client visits.
  • Maintain a strong sales funnel with a minimum of 10 active qualified opportunities at all times.
  • Secure at least one new account per month, generating a minimum of $60,000 in annualized revenue.
  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of existing accounts through relationship building, regular visits, and cross-selling of APPS services.
  • Attend industry networking events, trade shows, and conferences as needed.
  • Provide support with claims, receivables issues, and operational challenges.
  • Prepare and submit weekly activity and pipeline reports.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, and internal teams to resolve customer concerns and ensure service expectations are met.
  • Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and market analysis.
     

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of sales experience in transportation, logistics, or related industry.
  • Proven success in achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of LTL, TL, intermodal, and logistics services.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (local travel required).
  • Ability to attend occasional overnight customer or industry events.
