It may be a surprise to some customers, but APPS has been offering third-party warehousing services for almost two years now.

It started with 160,000 square feet of warehouse space at the Brampton headquarters facility. With the recent launch of APPS Cargo Terminals (ACT), the company now has an additional 75,000 square feet in Vancouver.

Renata Reynolds, APPS National Sales Executive, takes the APPS Wellness Program one step further. Reynolds has committed herself to competing in three strenuous OPA (Ontario Physique Association) Figure Competitions, all taking place in the next two months.

“This is a personal goal for me,” Reynolds says. “I enjoy it. I have fun with it. And I like the results. Health is very important to me. It’s easy to find the time to do this because I do enjoy it so much.”

Renata recently competed and placed second in the April 26th Figure Competition in Stratford, Ontario. The competition focuses on three different categories, body building, fitness and figure based on posing, muscle definition, body symmetry, image, confidence and appearance. Read Full Story >>




APPS a Finalist for EcoFREIGHT Transportation Award


APPS Transport Group was nominated for the 2008 GLOBE Awards for Environmental Excellence in March. These prestigious awards, now in their 7th year, recognize outstanding achievement in environmental stewardship in Canada. They identify and award companies or industry groups that have managed to balance competitive business strategies and sustainable development.

CVOR Rating Raised to Highest Industry Level

APPS recently received the Commercial Vehicle Operator Registration (CVOR) rating of “Excellent”, the highest rating given by the Ministry of Transportation. All carriers operating commercial motor vehicles in Ontario are required to register and obtain a CVOR rating. The rating is based on overall violation rates, accident rates and roadside inspections.

To get an “Excellent” Safety Rating, a carrier must have an overall violation rate of less than 10 percent. APPS rated an exceptional 8.2 percent. Read Full Story >>
